Lafayette sophomore Art Griffin finished second in a three-man playoff at the 2015 Colgate Invitational, leading the Leopards to a fourth-place team finish with a six-over total of 222. After finishing in a three-way tie atop the individual leaderboard, Griffin and Cornell's Luke Graboyes were edged outfor the individual title by Cornell's Mike Graboyes on the second playoff hole. Griffin bested Luke Graboyes on the third playoff hole to earn second place. Griffin fired an even-par 72 in the first and third (final) rounds on the 6,915-yard Seven Oaks Golf Club.
Youngstown State won the team title in the 14-team field at 911 strokes, while Cornell was four strokes back to finish second, Bucknell 10 strokes back to take third and the Leopards joined host Colgate 13 strokes back to tie for fourth.
Lafayette's other team scores included James Frahm (T11; 76-78-74--228), Chad Bell (T38; 81-78-80--239), Patrick Luther (T62; 78-79-89--246) and Travis Ricca (T66; 87-83-78--248).
The Leopards will compete in the Bucknell Fall Invitational next weekend.
