KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Lafayette men's and women's soccer programs were honored as recipients of the 2015-16 NSCAA Team Academic Award, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced on Thursday morning.

To qualify for the award, each team must have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year.

The Leopards were two of 892 teams honored with 315 on the men's side and 577 for the women. 221 schools received honors for both their men's and women's teams.
