Fencing Competes at NCAA Regional

EASTON, Pa. -
Four members of the Lafayette fencing team competed at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South NCAA Regional that was held inside Kirby Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.

Fencers from 15 schools filed into Kirby and for the Leopards, it was Alex Gorloff who highlighted the event with an 18th-place finish. In the opening pool round, the junior won all four of his matches and went 20-8. Through two additional pool rounds, he compiled a 28-47 mark and his afternoon ended there.

Fellow sabres, Ian Miller and Patrick Rekieta also competed for the Maroon and White, finishing 27th and 28th, respectively. Miller went 14-21, while Rekieta totaled a 15-23 bout record.

Conrad Stoerker was the final Leopard to take part in the NCAA regional and he finished in 32nd with a 15-24 mark in epee.
