ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lafayette College volleyball team fell in straight sets on Tuesday night as a surge in the third set was not enough to get by Navy.
The Leopards (5-14, 0-7 PL) got out to an early lead in the final set, going back and forth with the Midshipmen (14-6, 6-1 PL) for the remainder of the points to drop the deciding set, 25-23.
Freshman 
Leanna Deegan lead the Maroon and White with seven kills, hitting .312 in the loss. Deegan's classmate 
Kelly Austin was close behind, adding five kills and four blocks while 
Madi Wahrmund matched her with five kills.
Junior 
Sonia Musso came off the bench to tally three kills and two service aces while freshman 
Grace Tulevech had three kills and three blocks.
Navy hit .369 as a team and got off to a quick start, taking the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-14.
The Leopards return to College Hill playing five-consecutive matches on the road Friday when they host Holy Cross with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.
