WORCESTER, Mass. –The Lafayette College volleyball team took the second set, 25-18, to even the match, but ultimately fell to Holy Cross, 3-1, on Saturday at the Hart Center.
After dropping the opening frame, the Leopards (5-23, 0-16 PL) came charging back, ending the set on a 5-2 run.
The Crusaders (8-21, 7-9 PL) came back to win set three and jumped out to a 21-17 advantage in the fourth before Lafayette made it a one-point game at 22-21. That momentum would falter and Holy Cross won the final frame, 25-21, to seal the match.
Freshman
Leanna Deegan paced the Maroon and White with 13 kills and two blocks while classmate
Grace Tulevech recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs, to go along with three blocks.
Junior
Katrina Ruggiero added eight kills and eight digs and freshman

The loss concludes the 2018 season for the Leopards, but the future looks bright as freshmen paced Lafayette throughout the campaign.
