LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lafayette College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision on Saturday to Bucknell in its first Patriot League contest of the season at Holmes Stadium.
The game's only goal came in the early going as Bucknell's (3-3-2, 1-0 PL) Michael Pavick found the back of the net in the ninth minute.
It was the only shot on goal for the Bison as the Leopard defense of senior

Diego Gomera-Tavarez, and sophomore
Andrew Venezia were strong the rest of the afternoon, each playing all 90 minutes.

Sebastian Varela who was denied the scoring opportunity on a diving save by the Bison goalkeeper to seal the 1-0 defeat.
The Maroon and White will return home for more Patriot League action on Sept. 29 when the Leopards host Holy Cross at 1 p.m. at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium.
