Maggie Pohl registered nine saves for the Leopards

BOSTON, Mass. - Lafayette yielded one goal in each half and was unable to muster much offense in a 2-0 loss at Boston University on Nickerson Field.

The Terriers scored their first goal off a set piece when freshman midfielder Taylor Kofton headed in a corner kick in the 28th minute. It was the first career goal for the former Massachusetts Player of the Year. Kofton wasn't finished as she added a second half goal in the same fashion in the 63rd minute. It was one of 11 shots on goal that Lafayette goalkeeper Maggie Pohl faced and the sophomore keeper was credited with nine saves.

Caitlin Balmer, Sophie Saldivar, Krista Kissell and Alex Stanford were each credited with one shot for the Leopards.

Lafayette falls to 4-7 on the season and 1-3 in the Patriot League. Boston University is now 4-7-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the Patriot League.

Next up for the Leopards is a weeknight Patriot League road contest at Colgate on Wednesday.
