Volleyball Battles with Black Knights to Loss

Bailey transitions to attacker with a team-best eight kills

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lafayette College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision on Saturday at Army in its second Patriot League in as many days.

Junior Jenna Bailey, usually a setter, lead the way for the Leopards (5-11, 0-4 PL) with eight kills and eight digs.

Freshman Kelly Austin was on her tail with seven kills and two blocks and junior Julia Howard assisted 25 times.

The Black Knights (7-10, 2-2 PL) hit .356 on the afternoon as they put two attackers in double digits in kills.

The Maroon and White are in the midst of a five-game road trip as they now travel to archrival Lehigh on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
