ALLENTOWN -
Daniel Kramer and
Ross Coleman won singles and doubles matches but it was not enough to prevent the Lafayette Men's Tennis team from coming up on the short end of a tough 5-4 match at Muhlenberg on Tuesday evening on the Kern Field Courts.
Kramer defeated Noah Sellinger 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles and also teamed with Coleman for an 8-6 victory over the Mules tandem of Eli Taylor-Kerman and Adam Kronick at No. 3 doubles. Coleman, a sophomore, delivered the most exciting win of the evening for the Leopards with a come-from-behind 1-6, 7-5, 10-8 win over Taylor-Kerman at No. 6 singles by capturing the final five in the tiebreaker after trailing 8-5.
Freshman
Charles Keller also posted a 6-3, 6-3 win over Jason Grant at No. 4 singles.
It is the final outing of the fall season for the men's team other than the ITA Regional Championships that will be held Oct. 17-22 in Charlottesville, Va.
