*Lafayette is coming off a 0-0 double overtime draw at home on Saturday against Bucknell. Sophomore
Alex Sutton recorded his eighth shutout of the season.
*The draw helped them secure a spot in the Patriot League Tournament for the first time since 2012. The 2012 squad claimed the Patriot League Tournament Championship and went onto the NCAA Tournament, falling to Virginia in the first round 1-0.
*The draw also secured either a third or fourth seed in the tournament, meaning that the Leopards will host a quarterfinal game this Saturday afternoon at Oaks. The Leopards will clinch the number three seed in the tournament with win over Navy or a tie with Navy. They will be the fourth seed if they fall to Navy on Wednesday. Depending on their final seeding, they will either play the number five seed or the number six seed on Saturday at home.
*Navy comes into Wednesday matchup riding a three-game losing streak in Patriot League play. Their last two contests have been decided in overtime, falling in double overtime to Boston University 1-0 and to Colgate 2-1 in overtime. They stand at 11-3-1 overall and 4-3-1 in Patriot League play.
*Navy currently leads the all-time series 15-23-4. The last meeting between the two squads was October 25, 2018 and saw Navy coming away with the 2-0 victory. The last time the Leopards beat the Midshipmen was 2017 in Annapolis, walking away with a 3-2 victory.
