ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lafayette women's lacrosse team just couldn't keep pace with No. 14 Navy on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, Maryland, falling by a 21-5 score on the road in Patriot League play.
Senior
Hannah Davey answered two opening goals from Navy in the fourth minute for the Leopards' lone tally in the first half to make it 2-1. The Mids rattled off 13 straight from that point to take a 15-1 advantage into the halftime break.

Bella Alampi scored two of the first three goals for the Maroon and White to make it 16-3. But the offense never got going for the Leopards as Navy tacked on five more in the final 15 minutes to close out a 21-5 final.
The loss drops Lafayette to 5-11 overall this spring and 1-7 in Patriot League action, while Navy improves to 13-3, going 7-1 in conference contests.
Sophomore
Quinn Lacy and junior
Taylor Danson split halves between the pipes, combining for 14 saves on the afternoon. Lacy stopped nine in defeat, while Danson added five turnaway's.
The five goals for the Maroon and White came from five different goal-scorers as Novick, Davey, Alampi, freshman

Jane Kirby each tallied a marker. Curnal and seniors
Mairead Janzer and
Amelia Heisler all picked up a team-high three ground balls apiece on the day.
Navy led in shots by a 41-16 margin and won the battle in the circle, 21-6. The Mids forced Lafayette into 19 turnovers and committed just six, edging the ground ball category as well, 17-15.
The Leopards close out their 2019 season with Senior Day on Friday, April 26, hosting Colgate at 4 p.m.
