WHIPPANY, N.J. - The Lafayette women's soccer team hung tough for more than 80 minutes on Thursday night at the New York Red Bulls Training Facility in Whippany, New Jersey, but a late score from Seton Hall sunk the Leopards with a final of 1-0.
The loss moves the Maroon and White to 1-2 overall on the season, while Seton Hall improves to 1-1.Â
Freshman
Natalie Neumann relieved senior
Maggie Pohl at halftime and excelled between the pipes, making seven saves in the second 45 minutes of play. Unfortunately, she let one through that was the difference as the Pirates' Alyssa Reszkowski scored the winner at 80:24 on an individual effort.Â
Seton Hall led the way in shots, 19-11, and outcornered the Leopards, 6-1. The Pirates were more physical at 12 fouls to five and were forced into two saves compared to eight for the Maroon and White.Â

Sara Oswald was the majority of the Lafayette offense, putting two of her team-high four shots on target. Junior
Sophie Saldivar added three shots, while classmates
Rebecca Schreiner and
Krista Kissell added a shot apiece.Â
The Leopards are back in action on Sunday in West Hartford, Connecticut, battling Hartford at 1 p.m.
