ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Lafayette men's and women's tennis teams opened their 2021 campaigns on Saturday afternoon at Winning Touch Tennis in Allentown, with the women earning a 7-0 victory and the men falling by a slim 4-3 defeat.
The Leopard women lost just won match on the day, but it was in doubles as a split earned the Maroon and White the doubles point. Snyder, McCormack, Siegel, Lesnick and Sparhawk all took home singles victories with four doing so in straight-set fashion.
On the men's side, Lafayette split the singles matches at three apiece, but lost the doubles point, winning just one-of-two. Lovallo, Wolfe and Esslinger were the singles winners.
The Maroon and White are back in action on Feb. 27, hosting Union College.
