EASTON, Pa. – Three players scored in double figures as Lafayette secured a 75-69 win over Lehigh on Saturday night at
Kirby Sports Center.

Justin Jaworski,
E.J. Stephens and
Dylan Hastings were in the starting lineup for the Leopards on Senior Day and were joined remotely by classmate
Alex Petrie during the pre-game ceremony honoring the Class of 2021.

Jaworski (23 points) and Stephens (13) accounted for more than half of the Leopards' points, joining sophomore
Neal Quinn (10 points) in double figures. Sophomore
Leo O'Boyle had a solid outing with eight points and seven boards off the bench.

Lafayette (8-5, 4-1 Central) led for 36 minutes during Saturday's game and held a 36-32 advantage at halftime. The Mountain Hawks kept things close during the opening stanza by hitting 7-of-8 free throws while both teams hovered around the 40 percent shooting mark from the floor.

Four minutes into the second half, Lafayette pushed the lead to 47-38 when Stephens hit his 100
th career three-pointer, coming on an assist from Hastings.

Out of the media timeout, Lehigh senior guard Marques Wilson (22 points) started to assert himself. He converted a pair of layups and then drilled a three to trim the Lafayette lead to 47-45 at 14:25 and again to two points at 50-48.

Lehigh (4-9, 1-6 Central) big man Nic Lynch (22 points) picked up an offensive foul at the 11:08 mark and the Leopards took advantage when he went to the bench. Quinn powered in two buckets and assisted on another by O'Boyle as Lafayette ran off seven points in 26 seconds. Lafayette led 57-48 at 10:42.

The Leopards grabbed their biggest lead of the game with eight minutes left, a 12-point advantage, as Jaworski converted a three from the top of the key following
Tomas Verbinskis' offensive rebound.

The Mountain Hawks stuck around and reeled off a 9-0 run that brought them within three at 4:09. Evan Taylor's put back with 2:18 left Lafayette with a 67-65 lead.

In the final two minutes, Jaworski continued to hit clutch shots, nailing a jumper in the paint at 1:36 and another with 28 seconds left to seal the victory. He scored seven of the team's final nine points. Jaworski was 8-of-17 from the floor and 4-of-5 at the line.

Defensively for Lafayette,
Sean Good had three blocks, all in the first half. The Leopards held Lehigh to 43 percent from the floor and just 26 percent from beyond the arc.

The teams will close out the regular season on Sunday at 6 p.m. at Lehigh. Â
