Jaworski to Compete in 3X3U National Championship at Final Four

Men's basketball senior will compete on the Ivy/Patriot League Team for chance at a $150,000 prize pool

INDIANAPOLIS - Senior co-captain Justin Jaworski of the Lafayette men's basketball team was selected to participate in the Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship at the Final Four in Indianapolis, Ind., it was announced this week. 

The event will pit 16 four-man teams representing every Division I basketball conference against each other in a three-day, 3-on-3 tournament. Jaworski will play on the Patriot/Ivy League Team alongside Devon Goodman from Penn, Cam Davis from Navy and Alex King from Army. Comprised of players who have exhausted their collegiate eligibility, the teams will compete for a $150,000 prize pool and the tournament will be broadcast live on Twitter and ESPN2 from Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 4 at The Pavilion in Indianapolis.

The Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship will be streamed live via Twitter on Friday, April 2 beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET and Saturday, April 3 beginning at 8:30 a.m. On Sunday, April 4, the first 12 knockout games will be streamed live on Twitter beginning at 10:30 a.m., and the semifinals, third-place game and championship game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 at 3:30 p.m.

Players were selected based on feedback from college basketball experts from across the country and an evaluation of roster balance to produce the best four-man teams possible and fans will not be permitted to attend.

Jaworski is the first player in program history to compete in the 3X3U National Championship after finishing his career all over the record books for the Maroon and White. He ends his career in 10th on Lafayette's all-time scoring list with 1,484 career points and fourth in career threes with 247. The Schwenksville, Pa. native was a First-Team All-Patriot League selection this season, leading the conference in scoring at 21.5 points per night.
