th pick in the 2021 Women's National Basketball Association draft, the Seattle Storm selected Lafayette College's women's basketball senior power forward
Natalie Kucowski on Thursday night.
Kucowski becomes the first Leopard in program history to be drafted into the WNBA.
The 2020-21 Patriot League Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and All-Patriot League First Team selection leaves Lafayette after a dominant four years for the Maroon and White, finishing her career with 1,415 career points, 1,197 career rebounds.
She leaves the Maroon and White as the program's all-time leading rebounder and the first to record over 1,000 points and rebounds. The Philadelphia, Pa., native totaled 263 career assists, 233 career blocks and 148 steals, adding to her already impressive career totals.
In her final year at Lafayette, she averaged 17.8 points per game and 13.3 rebounds per game.
