ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Make it back-to-back 6-1 wins for Lafayette College women's tennis (3-2, 1-1 PL) as it followed up a victory last weekend over Holy Cross with another convincing win over La Salle.
Samantha Snyder, Cecelia Lesnick and Jessica Siegel each won their singles matches in straight sets. Snyder, a senior who has not lost a singles match this season, earned her third straight-sets victory with her 6-1, 6-3 first-flight win. Fellow senior Lesnick also grabbed her third straight-sets win of the season with a 6-2, 6-3 second-flight victory. Siegel matched Snyder's team-high four singles wins on the year with a 6-2, 6-1 result at third-flight singles.
Siegel, the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week, teamed with fellow sophomore Melanie Sparhawk to earn a clutch 6-2 win at second flight doubles to secure the doubles point and get the Leopards on the board to open the match.
Lafayette returns to Patriot League play next weekend with a match at noon on April 10 against Loyola.
