BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lafayette softball closed out the 2021 season with 9-1 and 8-0 losses to Lehigh in a doubleheader on Sunday.

In game one, it was a five-run second inning that made the difference for Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks scored each run with two outs in the inning, banging out six hits against Lafayette starter
Kailee Sawai.

The Leopards, who were limited to three hits in the game, scored in the fourth inning.

Paige Grover (walk) with a two-out single off Lehigh pitcher Katelyn Young. Grover finished as the team's leading hitter in 2021, batting at a .327 average.

In game two, Lehigh scored all of its offense in the first inning. The Mountain Hawks sent 12 batters to the plate, producing eight runs on four hits. Amanda Greaney had the big hit, a three-run double off Leopard starter

Kinzi Wan Wyk, who threw the final two innings of game one, contributed with a pair of hits in game two. Lafayette had five hits in the game with
