LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lafayette College volleyball team hit .339 as a unit and defeated Bucknell in straight sets Friday night (25-19, 25-21, 25-17) to open a road weekend of Patriot League action.

The win is the Leopards' second-straight sweep, coming off a straight set victory at Holy Cross Sunday. It's the first time Lafayette recorded back-to-back Patriot League sweeps since the 2006 season.

It was not a great start for Lafayette, falling behind 8-1 in the early goings of the first set. The Maroon and White was able to get back into it, going on a 6-0 run to make it 16-13 with junior
Grace Steurer at the service line to grab momentum.

The Leopards wasted no time in set two as senior
Leanna Deegan scored the frame's first three points on three straight kills.

It was all Lafayette in the final frame, hitting .441 in the third set to go along with four blocks.

Deegan hit .413 with 25 kills and three digs and senior
Grace Tulevech hit .500 with nine kills. Sophomore
Alyssa Vitale had 44 assists with four blocks while classmate
Katie Weston had 20 digs.

Lafayette turns its attention to the Rivalry, traveling to Lehigh Saturday for a 4 p.m. first serve.
