EASTON, Pa.– The Lafayette field hockey team shut out the Boston University Terriers 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Senior forward
Molly McAndrew earned the first goal at 17:15 off of a penalty corner tip.
Felicitas Hannes and
Lineke Spaans are credited with assists during the deceptive play.
Spaans later converted a reverse shot of her own at 40:32 around the stroke mark.
The Leopards held the advantage in total shots (12-9), while the Terriers earned one more penalty corner (4-3).
Lafayette's freshman goalkeeper
Raffi Fragomeni made two saves in the victory. Her Boston U. counterpart, Caroline Kelly, made six.
The Leopards travel to New Haven, Conn. tomorrow to face Yale.
