WORCESTER, Mass. – The Lafayette College volleyball team picked up its second consecutive sweep of Holy Cross (25-12, 25-18, 25-17) Saturday afternoon.

Lafayette featured freshman
Carol Ulichney who led all attackers with 14 kills while hitting .440. Sophomore
Abby Nieporte put down eight kills to go along with three service aces.

The Leopards jumped out to a 15-11 lead at the game's first media timeout, and used a pair of 3-0 runs, sandwiched by a Holy Cross timeout to take the opener.

Late in the second, junior
Gracie Gibson and sophomore
Abby Nieporte recorded back-to-back kills to make it 20-15 to force a Crusader timeout. However, Holy Cross would score three-unanswered from there before a 5-0 Lafayette run closed out the set.

The third set was back-and-forth before the Leopards took control with a 3-0 run late in the frame with sophomore
Anna Penman at the service line. Lafayette would force back-to-back attacking errors to close out the match.

Junior
Gracie Gibson had nine kills with a block, hitting .533 while Penman had 32 assists and junior
Katie Weston had 11 digs.

Lafayette returns home on Friday to host Bucknell at 7 p.m. before traveling to Lehigh on Sunday for the rivalry.
