EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette women's soccer team concluded its 2022 campaign on Wednesday evening at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium with a 1-0 loss to Navy.
After a scoreless first half, Mimi Abusham got Navy on the board. In the 62nd minute, Abusham took a straight on shot that she lofted over leaping Lafayette junior goalkeeper
Lindsay Dewar. The goal was Abusham's second of the season and gave Navy a 1-0 lead with 28 minutes left to play.
During both halves, Lafayette peppered Navy goalkeeper Mattie Gallagher with shots, and likely the best attempt on goal was a straight on shot from inside the box by freshmen
April McDonald in the 89th minute, for which Gallagher had to make an acrobatic save.
The Leopards outpaced the Mids in total shots, with 15 to Navy's nine. Lafayette had 10 shots on goal versus eight for Navy. McDonald led Lafayette in shots with four, all of which were on goal. Senior

Emily Coe took two shots each, with both on goal for Oswald and one on goal for Coe.

Natalie Neumann and Dewar split time evenly in goal, with Neumann starting the match and recording four saves and Dewar coming in for the second half and recording three saves.
Lafayette completes its season with a 3-11-3 record and 1-6-2 in the Patriot League.
