EASTON, Pa.- The Lafayette women's lacrosse team invited La Salle to Fisher Stadium this Saturday, defeating the Explorers 11-9. The Leopards showed no mercy, coming off a tough loss to #19 Drexel last Sunday.
La Salle opened up the first period with two goals (12:08 and 5:10) before Lafayette fired back three of their own. Senior attacker

Kerry Tuorto and McLachlan added theirs individually.

Clare Culligan at 14:45 in the second period before La Salle retaliated at 13:18 with a quick shot from Rolon.
The Leopards returned fire, adding four more goals by
Abby Romano,
Katie Chiasson,
Genevieve Strobel and
Olivia Cunningham.
La Salle had a lone goal by Venza with two minutes before the teams were sent to halftime.
The Explorers had a two-goal run, an unassisted pair by Johnston at 13:37 and 8:41. Each team sent one more into the net before the final quarter began; Lafayette's Chiasson at 6:49 and La Salle's Rolon.
La Salle bookmarked the final quarter at 12:56 and 0:24. Cunningham finished her hat trick and added one more goal in between at 10:16 and 0:42.

Lexie Coldiron made 14 saves, while her La Salle counterparts Dellaratta and McGroarty made seven.
The Leopards collected 10 out of 23 draws and led in categories for ground balls (17-14) and clears (20-22 to 13-13). The Explorers held the advantage in shots, 29-23.
Lafayette women's lacrosse will return to action this Wednesday, where they will face the Binghamton Bearcats in Vestal, N.Y.
