EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette College men's basketball program and first-year head coach
Mike Jordan have released the 2022-23 non-conference schedule set to begin on Nov. 7 in Miami, Florida.
"This is a great schedule that our fans and players should be excited about," Jordan said. "I know this will be a huge challenge for us, but I have confidence in these young men and this non-conference schedule will prepare us as best as possible to compete in the Patriot League."
The schedule features two home games inside Kirby Sports Center where the Maroon and White will host Ivy League foes Penn and Columbia on Nov. 22 and Dec. 12, respectively.
Opening night sends the Leopards south where they will take on Miami, an Elite Eight team from a season ago in the NCAA Tournament. It is the second-straight season where Lafayette faces an ACC opponent on opening night, traveling to Syracuse to begin the 2021-22 campaign.
The schedule also features an MTE where Lafayette will play back-to-back nights on the campus of UMBC, taking on the hosts Nov. 18 and Central Connecticut State Nov. 19.
The Leopards will take trips to New York City, Philadelphia and State College throughout November and December, playing St. John's on Nov. 12, St. Joe's Nov. 14, Penn State Nov. 25 and Drexel Nov. 30.
The final non-conference test comes Dec. 21, another trip to Philadelphia, when Jordan will face his collegiate coach Fran Dunphy at La Salle.
All game times are yet to be determined and the schedule is subject to change. All Lafayette men's basketball home games can be seen on ESPN+ and select games will be televised on ATVN.
The Leopards return three starters from a season ago, including 2021-22 Patriot League All-Rookie
CJ Fulton.
