EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette women's basketball team secured its first Patriot League victory of the season
, beating Navy 61-46 on Wednesday night.

Abby Antognoli and senior Jess Booth exploded for career-highs, with 24 and 21 points, respectively. Antognoli also netted a career-high five threes, shooting 62 percent (5-for-8). Junior
Kayla Drummond grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds, while contributing eight points.

The Mids had two in double figures with Mimi Schrader draining 18 points and Sydne Watts chipping in 13.

Navy led 10-9 after the first quarter, as Booth tallied five points for the Leopards. The game remained close the rest of the first half, as Booth and Antognoli tallied nine and eight points, respectively. Lafayette headed into the half down one, 23-22.

The Leopards outscored Navy 28-10 in the entire third quarter, with Antognoli and Booth each adding six points in the session. The Leopards ended the night shooting 69 percent from the charity stripe (20-for-29), including Booth's four free throws in the third quarter. Junior center
Aniya Matthews scored the final three points of the run, netting a layup and free-throw, sending the Leopards into the final quarter up 50-33.

Lafayette pushed further out of reach in the fourth, with its largest lead of the game (60-41) with three minutes left. The Leopards withstood a fouling barrage and a couple of Navy three's to capture the 69-57 final.
