EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette women's basketball team facilitated a second-half comeback to defeat Colgate 53-45 on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore guard
Abby Antognoli led the Leopards' offense with 23 points and added five rebounds. Junior forward
Kayla Drummond grabbed a career-high 15 boards and scored five points.

The Raiders had one in double figures with freshman forward Nicole Parks leading with 14 points. Fellow freshman, Madison Schiller, had nine rebounds.

Colgate jumped out on a 16-6 lead in the first quarter, shooting 53 percent (8-for-15) from the field. The Leopards had a cold-shooting start, shooting 23 percent in the first quarter.

Andrews netted eight points in the first half, while the Leopards trailed 31-18 at half.

Lafayette spurred a 14-1 run from the opening of the third quarter to 2:00, tying the game at 32 apiece. Antognoli hit a three and netted a layup and jumper.
Kay Donahue drained two jumpers and
Halee Smith chipped in a layup.

Colgate scored four points to wrap up the third, as the Leopards headed into the fourth quarter down 38-32.Â

Kayla Drummond opened the fourth with two layups and
Makayla Andrews drained a jumper, putting Lafayette down two, 40-38. Colgate held onto the 42-38 lead with 6:38 seconds remaining in the game.

Andrews hit a jumper at 5:10 to bring the Leopards within two points, 42-40.

Antognoli netted a three to grab the lead, 43-42. She picked up a steal on the next possession as she was fouled on her layup attempt, making the second of two free throws to lead 44-42. Andrews dished the ball to Smith as she put up a layup in the open lane. Antognoli hit a pull-up jumper with 2:24 remaining to extend the lead to 48-42.

Antognoli added four from the charity stripe, nabbing the Leopards' fourth straight win, 52-45.

The last time the Leopards won four in-a-row was in the 2019-2020 season from Jan. 18, 2020 to Feb. 1, 2020, when Lafayette defeated Lehigh, Colgate, Navy and Bucknell.
