Naomi Ganpo '22 was recently recognized for her involvement in the Premedical Urban Leaders Summer Enrichment
(PULSE) program of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMRSU).
Ganpo was a four-year member of the Lafayette women's basketball team who graduated with a degree in Biology and added a secondary concentration in Anthropology and Sociology. The 6'3" forward started all 30 games in her senior campaign, averaging 7.2 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, 2.2 blocks per game and 27.8 minutes per game.
At the 2022 PARDees, she was the recipient of the P.A.R.D.S. Award, which recognizes one student-athlete for striving toward the values Lafayette Athletics embodies: Passionate, Accountable, Resilient, Driven and Selfless
. The Ontario, Canada native also earned the Patriot League's Victory Scholarship and was a NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee this past summer.
Rowan's PULSE program provides college students with academic, clinical, research and service learning opportunities with a focus on urban health. Additionally, Phases II and III of PULSE offer MCAT test prep, physician shadowing opportunities, and gross anatomy lab sessions.
The former Leopard has hopes of becoming an obstetrician gynecologist (OB/GYN) and worked on research in the program relating to maternal health.
