BOSTON, Mass. – Lafayette women's soccer dropped a 4-2 decision at Boston University on Saturday
at Nickerson Field.
The Terriers struck early, scoring the game's first goal in the 11
th minute, when a free kick by Lily Matthews found Natalie Godoy, who sent a header to the top right corner of the goal and gave the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
Boston U. added to its lead in the 28
th minute. Giulianna Gianino intercepted a Lafayette pass and sent a shot into the lower right corner of the goal, making the score 2-0.
The Terriers continued to click on offense in the second half. In the 54th minute, Abigail McNulty received a through-ball from Morgan Fagan and placed a shot into the lower right corner of the goal for a 3-0 advantage.
Lafayette struck back in the 66

Rory Schauder's shot was blocked, but ricocheted to sophomore
Katrina Santelli, who put the rebound into the back of the net, to make the score 3-1.
The Terriers added another goal in the 75
th minute, when Mackenzie Stickelman evaded multiple Lafayette defenders and scored on a right-footed shot from the top of the box.
The Leopards responded with a goal in the 87
th minute, when a yellow card in the box led to a Lafayette penalty kick. Schauder took the penalty opportunity and scored her third goal of the season, bringing the final tally to 4-2.
Lafayette finished the afternoon with eight shots, six of which were on goal. Boston U. had 19 shots, with 10 on goal. The Leopards were awarded four corners, while the Terriers had seven.

The Leopards return to Easton on Wednesday, when they host Army at 7 p.m., at Gummeson Grounds: Home of Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium.
