HAMILTON, N.Y.- The Lafayette volleyball team lost to Colgate in three sets (25-19, 25-14,25-15) Saturday afternoon on Cotterell Court.
The Leopards jumped out to an early 4-0 lead courtesy of kills from senior

Emma Patmon and a pair of attack errors by the Raiders. Lafayette led 19-16 prior to Colgate going on a massive nine point run that effectively won them the first set (25-19). During that run, Sophie Thompson and Milan Bayless both recorded kills.
The second set of play featured two tie scores and one lead change. Lafayette led 3-1 out of the gate, but Colgate fought its way back to three apiece. Both sides grabbed another kill before Colgate went on a 4-0 run. Abby Shadwick and Frances Torres led the way for the Raiders, each recording four kills in the set. Colgate took the second set 25-14.
The Raiders showed no signs of slowing down as the third set began. Colgate held an 8-2 lead at the beginning of the final set. Kills from junior

Irelynd Lorenzen brought the Leopards within four. Colgate held a 9-5 advantage before it went on a 6-0 run to take a considerable lead. The Raiders won the final set 25-15 taking them to their 20
th win of the season.
The Leopards finished the season with an overall record of 9-15.
