EASTON, Pa. – Senior forward Hale Lombard was selected to the Preseason All-Patriot League Men's Soccer Team, the league office announced Wednesday morning.
 
In 2022, Lombard earned a spot on the All-Patriot League Second Team. He recorded six goals, accumulated 12 points and started in all 17 of the games he featured in. He also accrued 1,392 minutes which was the sixth highest amongst his fellow teammates. The Belleair Bluffs, Florida, native tallied a team-high 45 shots with 21 of them being on goal, averaging out to a 46.7 percent shot on goal percentage.
 
Lafayette was predicted to finish seventh after a fifth-place finish in the 2022 Patriot League standings with a conference record of 3-2-4. Overall, Lafayette finished with a record of 9-6-4.
 
Lafayette's men's soccer program is scheduled to open its season with a home contest on Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. against UMass-Lowell. The game will take place at the newly established Gummeson Grounds: Home of Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium. The dedication ceremony will take prior to kick-off.
