Box Score 2 SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Lafayette College volleyball team closed out the Bryant Invitational with a Saturday split, beating Siena (25-9, 12-25, 25-10, 25-23) before falling to Bryant in straight sets (22-25, 22-25, 23-25).

The Leopards got off to a hot start in the first set, winning 25-9. In that set, they finished with 11 kills in 20 total attacks.
Freshman
Ally Feczko, junior
Abby Nieporte and senior
Gracie Gibson were Lafayette's sparks on offense. Feczko finished the match with nine kills, hitting a .304 percentage. Nieporte added 11 kills, hitting .347 and Gibson accumulated eight kills (.538).
Siena leveled the proceedings, winning the second set 25-12.
Lafayette won the third set 25-10. Sophomore
Hannah Ehrich-Pollock, senior
Katie Weston and freshman
Anna Van Wyk were the Leopards' standouts on defense. Ehrich-Pollock finished with one solo block and a team high three block assists. Weston had 11 digs and Van Wyk added 10 digs.
Lafayette won sets three and four (25-10, 25-22) to grab its first win of the 2023 season.

Match Two
Ehrich-Pollock was the standout on defense again in match two. She added three solo blocks and one block assist through three sets. Feczko also continued her impressive play with 10 digs. Van Wyk and senior
Alyssa Vitale did well to set up their teammates with Van Wyk tallying 10 assists and Vitale nine.
However, Bryant hit .253 as a unit and defeat the Leopards in straight sets.
The Leopards are back in action at 6 p.m. on Wednesday for their home opener in Kirby Sports Center.
