EASTON, Pa.- The Lafayette College volleyball team returned to Kirby Sports Center Wednesday night and showcased a dominant performance, managing to sweep St. Peter's (25-18, 25-16, 25-19) to open its home campaign.

The Leopards went back-and-forth with the Peacocks for the first 12 points of the first set. Then Lafayette went on a 5-0 run to put the score at 11-6. Ehrich-Pollock eventually ended the set with a kill off an assist from freshman Anna Van Wyk. Van Wyk finished the match with 23 assists.

Set two was very similar to set one, providing a lot of back-and-forth action. The score was all square at 8-8 before the Leopards began to pull away. Lafayette went on a 7-0 run which saw back-to-back blocks to take the score to 15-8. Nieporte finished the set off with a kill assisted by junior Anna Penman.

The third set followed suit with two lead changes and seven tie scores. However, when the score was even at 17 apiece, Lafayette went on a 5-0 run to begin to run away with the match. Sophomore Carol Ulichney wrapped up the evening for the Leopards with a kill assisted by senior Alyssa Vitale.
