WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army downed Lafayette volleyball on Saturday (18-25, 17-25, 13-25) in the Leopards' season finale.

Mackenzie Calhoun. Attack errors by the Black Knights gave Lafayette a 7-5 lead, but a kill by Breelyn Bender and a Leopard error quickly tied the contest (7-7). Army posted a 4-0 run to gain a four-point advantage (13-9), which was a key point in the first set. Lafayette responded down the stretch, but Army's breathing room kept the Leopards from snatching the set (25-18).
The hosts took an early 4-0 lead to start the second period and never looked back. Army recorded nine more kills than Lafayette (19-10) and the Black Knights hit for .486 in the set, leading them to a 25-17 victory. Mackenzie Lynch tallied a set-high five kills.
Army kept its momentum going in the last set, jumping out to a 7-2 lead. The hosts notched four service aces and 16 kills, hitting .419. Lafayette put up a few quality scoring runs in the middle of the period, but the Black Knights took the final set.

Anna Van Wyk found her teammates 12 times on the day.
Lafayette finished the season with an overall record of 7-18.
