EASTON, Pa. – Sophomore forward
Tasha Chudy finished with a career-high 14 points in the Leopards' 60-47 loss to Dartmouth on Wednesday night at Kirby Sports Center.
The first 12 points were split evenly before Lafayette went on an 8-2 run (14-8), taking its largest lead of the game with 4:08 to go in the first quarter. Dartmouth responded with its own 9-3 spurt, tying the game at 17 points apiece thanks to a tip-in layup by Clare Meyer. Senior guard
Abby Antognoli got a mid-range jumper to fall with seven seconds remaining in the period to give the Leopards a two-point lead (19-17).
The visitors outscored Lafayette 16-9 in the second quarter, led by Victoria Page's team-high five points. The Big Green shot 6-of-11 in the frame and grabbed five more boards than the Leopards (11-6). The contest was tied 24-24 with 6:49 to go before Dartmouth found its rhythm. The visitors concluded the half with a 9-4 run, taking a 33-28 advantage at the intermission.
Dartmouth opened the second half with a 7-2 run, and Zeynep Ozel's triple handed the Big Green a 10-point lead (40-30) with 6:05 remaining. Back-to-back buckets by juniors

Sauda Ntaconayigize (3) cut Lafayette's deficit to seven points (42-35), but the visitors came right back with their own two-bucket spurt. With 10 minutes to go in Easton, the Leopards trailed 49-39.
Olivia Austin gave the Big Green their largest lead of the game (54-39) at the 6:50 mark, before two scores by Chudy trimmed Dartmouth's lead back down to 11 points. The Leopards struggled from the floor in the final period, shooting just 28.6 percent. The visitors' dominance on the glass (41-29) led them to their fifth victory of the year at the final buzzer.Â
The Maroon and White close out 2024 at noon on Saturday as they travel to Big 10 foe Rutgers.
