EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette was taken down by Villanova, 4-2, on Friday evening at College Hill's Leopard Courts.
"Today was a very close match where we almost took down Villanova. We won the doubles point and were in the final two matches in super breakers," said head coach
Ralph Van Ormer. "I am proud of the squad for playing up to the level of our opponent. We were excited to possibly get my 100th career win as a coach here at Lafayette, which we can now look to hit this weekend during Patriot League play."
