EASTON, Pa. -Â Field hockey fought off Quinnipiac 3-2 under Friday night's lights on Rappolt Field.
The Bobcats struck first with a goal by Lucia Donati at 9:28 in the first quarter.
Senior defender
India Ralph tallied the equalizer, assisted by
Mackenzie Hall and
Lineke Spaans, at 22:21 in the second period.
The Leopards outscored Quinnipiac 2-1 in the third quarter to take home the win and move to a 4-1 overall record.
Katie Gibb and Spaans rounded out the evening's scoring squad.
The Maroon and White held the advantage in total shots (29-8) and penalty corners (8-4).
Lafayette's junior goalkeeper
Raffi Fragomeni made three saves in the victory. Her Bobcat counterpart, Cristina Torres, made nine. Jule Hoefer contributed four defensive saves for Quinnipiac.
The Leopards travel to No. 14 Syracuse on Sunday for a 1 p.m. contest.
