DURHAM, N.H. -Â The Lafayette field hockey team fell to New Hampshire 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Kathelijne Knuttel put the Wildcats on the board first at 4:46 to lead the Leopards, 1-0. Ella Pratt, assisted by Tamera Cookman and Abigail Armlin, extended New Hampshire's advantage to 2-0 at 16:58.
Cookman tallied her first of the day at 25:55 to stay out of reach, 3-0, before halftime.
The Wildcats held the advantage in total shots (11-9) as the Leopards created more penalty corner opportunities (7-3) in the first loss of the season.
Lafayette's junior goalkeeper
Raffi Fragomeni made five saves, while her New Hampshire counterpart, Abby Johnson, made four. Freshman
Addison Kahn also made her debut in cage during the fourth quarter.
The Leopards return home on Friday to face Quinnipiac at 6 p.m. for the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness game, supporting
PanCan.
