BURLINGTON, N.C. - Sophomore
Travis Robertson carded rounds of 75, 72 and 71 to conclude the Phoenix Invitational on Tuesday, finishing in 46th. Robertson's nine birdies assisted the Palm Beach, Fla. native in shooting five-over-par over 54 holes.
Reed Theiss and
Viktor Kofod-Olsen shot an identical 220 to tie for 56th at the par-71, 6,871-yard Alamance Country Club.
Chris Vahey (+8) landed in 61st, one stroke behind Theiss and Kofod-Olsen in his first collegiate action as a Leopard. Dessel (78-73-73) shot 11-over-par to finish in 69th,
Lafayette concluded the invitational in 16th place, shooting a 23-over-par 875.
Elon University, the hosts of the event, collected the team title by carding 818. Elon's Landon Durham captured medalist honor with a 17-under-par 196.
Lafayette's next time on the course comes on Oct. 23-24 when it competes in the Lehigh Invitational.
