EASTON, Pa. -- Phillip Peiffer has earned Academic All-Patriot League status announced Wednesday morning. The senior defensive tackle and team captain finished the season with 32 tackles (one of 12 players with 30 or more tackles) and five tackles for loss. 

The Frankfort, Ky. native started all 12 games for the Lafayette. The Leopards were picked to finish fifth in the Patriot League Preseason Poll but ended 2025 with an 8-4 overall mark and a 6-1 clip in Patriot League play for second place in the standings. 

Off the field, Peiffer has pursued a major in International Affairs and Spanish with a secondary concentration in Economics while maintaining a 3.94 cumulative grade-point average. He has achieved Dean's List status every semester and is a Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection. Peiffer is a member of the La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispánica: Sigma Delta Pi; International Affairs Honor Society: Sigma Iota Rho, Phi Beta Kappa and Chi Alpha Sigma (national college athlete honor society).

To be one of the 14 student-athletes to earn Academic All-Patriot League honors, candidates must maintain a 3.2 or better GPA, have completed at least one full school year at the institution and be a starter or key reserve on their team. The honor is determined by a vote of the member institutions' sports information directors.
