FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. - Sophomore
Travis Robertson collected four birdies and an eagle on Monday during the final round of the Fripp Island Invitational, hosted by South Carolina Upstate. The Palm Beach, Fla. native shot a 70Â for an even-par 213. Robertson concluded the invitational in fourth, marking the second consecutive event he's finished within the top 10.
Lafayette shot a 21-over-par 873, landing in third place in the nine-team field.Â
Senior
Harry Dessel turned in rounds of 72, 72 and 75 at the par-71, 6,511-yard Ocean Creek Golf Club to rest in 18th.
Viktor Kofod-Olsen (73-73-78) wrapped up the event in a tie for 28th.
Liam Brandt finished in 42nd after shooting a final-round 77 to card 230. Junior
Winston Kelenc-Blank (+18) placed in 45th.
Chris Vahey,
Reed Theiss and
Hudson Pace represented the Maroon and White as individuals. Vahey carded a six-over-par 219 to sit in 18th alongside Dessel. Theiss (76-72-72) and Pace (78-75-83) finished in 21st and 50th, respectively.
Gardner-Webb shot nine-over-par 861 to beat Charleston Southern (863) for team honors. Presbyterian's Jeep Patrick collected medalist laurels with six-under-par 207.
Lafayette breaks for the winter before competing in its championship season in the spring.
