Kiewiet Claims PL Player of the Week Laurels

North Mankato, Minn. native averaged 21 ppg across two games

EASTON, Pa. – Junior guard Teresa Kiewiet earned her first Patriot League laurel of the 2025-26 season, after putting together two solid performances in the Leopards' historic win at Pittsburgh (11/25) and against NJIT (11/30).

Against the Panthers, the Engineering major paced the Maroon and White's offense with 19 points on 8-of-17 shooting. Kiewiet tacked on eight rebounds in 33 minutes and was a key piece to guiding Lafayette to its first win over an ACC foe since 2013. On Nov. 30 at NJIT, the North Mankato, Minn. native continued to turn heads. She finished the outing with season-highs of 23 points and a 53.3 shooting percentage, while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Kiewiet added six rebounds, an assist and a steal to her stat line versus the Highlanders.

Through eight games this season the junior guard ranks highly in several individual statistical categories within the Patriot League. Kiewiet is sixth in scoring (15.3 ppg), ninth in rebounding (5.7 rpg) and eighth in field-goal percentage (42.9 percent). She also averages a steal per outing and is shooting the deep ball at 29.4 percent.

The Leopards currently hold a 4-4 record, collecting wins against St. Peter's, St. Francis, Wagner and Pittsburgh. Lafayette returns to action at 7 p.m. on Thursday as it makes its way to Teaneck, N.J. for a meeting with FDU.
