EASTON, Pa. – Coming off an 8-4 campaign, Lafayette football has inked the commitments of eight student-athletes in the early signing period, all members of the Class of 2030.
The initial group of 2025 signees recruited by head coach John Troxell '94 and his staff include four offensive linemen, two cornerbacks, a quarterback and wide receiver. The Leopards look to bulk up the offensive line where the front five has helped build the conference's most formidable rushing attack that has produced 1000-yard rushers the last three campaigns.
The most recent signings are part of Lafayette's 13th scholarship recruiting class in the Patriot League era. The group includes student-athletes from high schools in eight states: Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas. Lafayette will continue to build its recruiting class this week and in the coming months leading up to National Signing Day on Feb. 4, 2026.
"We want to welcome 10 new players to our program, including several who will be announced in February. These student-athletes bring size, speed and skill that will make our team better," said Troxell, the Fred M. Kirby II '42 Head Football Coach. "On top of being great football players they are incredible people who will make the Lafayette community better. Today is a great day to be a Leopard!"
Lafayette will begin its spring football season on March 24 with the Maroon and White Spring Showcase at 11 a.m. on April 25 at Fisher Stadium. The regular season is slated to kick off on Aug. 29 at Georgetown.
