ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Lafayette golf team wrapped up the Navy Invitational on Sunday. The Leopards finished in 12th place in the 15-team field, ahead of Patriot League foes Colgate and Bucknell.

Travis Robertson was Lafayette's top finisher, shooting a 218 over three rounds at the Naval Academy Golf Course. Robertson carded rounds of 77, 68 and 73, managing seven birdies at the two-day event to place 15th. Senior
Harry Dessel finished two places behind Robertson, carding a final-round 73 to shoot 219. Dessel shot a tournament-best two-under on the par fives.Â
Freshman
Liam Brandt (78-78-76) and soph. Reid Theiss (78-79-76), finished 68th and 71st, respectively, while junior
Winston Kelenc-Blank ( 84-78-80) ended in 81st on the par-71, 7,025-yard Naval Academy Golf Club.
Loyola, Md. claimed the team title, shooting six-over-par, while Navy's Jack Tarzy (66-71-68) held on to his second-round lead to secure medalist honors with a three-under-par 215 for the event.Â
The Leopards will return to action Sept. 28-30 at the 15th Annual Connecticut Cup at Greathorse Golf Club.Â
