HAMPDEN, Mass. - The Leopards finished up the Connecticut Cup on Tuesday. Lafayette shot 913 to place 12th in the 15-team field.
Senior
Harry Dessel paced the Leopards, finishing the three-day tournament in a tie for 23rd. Dessel carded rounds of 74, 75 and 72 while collecting six birdies at the par-72, 7,093 yard Greathorse Golf Club. Freshman
Viktor Kofod-Olsen wrapped up his first invitational by shooting a final-round 75 to card 225 and place t-36 in the 83-player field.
Sophomore
Travis Robertson landed t-51 after shooting a 13-over-par 229.
Liam Brandt (78-81-79) and
Hudson Pace (82-84-80) placed 74th and 81st, respectively. Sophomore
Harrison Browne competed as an individual, resting in 62nd after carding 17-over-par over 54 holes.
Connecticut held onto its lead to secure the team title. The hosts shot an even-par 864, finishing with a three-stroke lead over Boston College. Boston College's Markus Lam collected medalist honors after needing two playoff holes with Connecticut's Bradley Sawka. Lam (70-67-75) ended with a four-under-par 212.
Lafayette returns to the course on Oct. 13-14, playing in the Elon University Invitational.
