"After all the excitement from day one, the team followed it up with the best first day of individual events and relays on day two. Four school records were set and several swimmers and divers are returning for finals in almost every event," said Lafayette head coach James Dailey.

"This is the first time that I can remember having this many people on the first day. It really helps set the tone for the rest of the meet. We are scoring points today that we normally don't score," Dailey said. "The kids are really excited about continuing their performances over the next two days. It's a lot of fun to be on the team right now."

The Leopards will return to Lejeune Hall for day three of the Patriot League Championships on Friday at 10 a.m.
