Winston Kelenc-Blank,
Viktor Kofod-Olsen and
Reed Theiss led the way for Lafayette golf at the Columbia Spring Invitational on Monday. The Leopards (609) tied for eighth in the 12-team field, landing alongside Columbia and St. Joseph's.
Kelenc-Blank and Kofod-Olsen both tied for 10th after shooting nine-over-par 149. Kelenc-Blank (73-76) was the Maroon and White's top finisher at the par-70, 6,818-yard Rolling Green Golf Course. Kofod-Olsen, one of two individuals for Lafayette, turned in rounds of 74 and 75 to join Kelenc-Blank. Theiss, coming off of a ninth-place finish at the William & Mary Invitational, captured 22nd with an 11-over-par 151.
Sophomore
Travis Robertson landed in 42nd after shooting 156 over two rounds.
Harry Dessel (t-47) carded rounds of 76 and 81, while freshman
Liam Brandt (158) ended the invitational in 51st.
Michael DiNapoli, also participating as an individual, missed the second round of the afternoon with an injury. In his first 18 holes, DiNapoli tallied a 10-over-par 150.
Drexel finished as the event's top team, ending the invitational with a 30-over-par 590. Drexel's John Keba earned medalist honors after shooting rounds of 73 and 69.
Next up for the Leopards is a two-day stop at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational, hosted by West Chester.
