EASTON, Pa. - Teresa Kiewiet earned 2025-26 Patriot League Women's Basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year award announced on Monday. The Engineering major is the first Leopard in conference history to win the award since its inception in 1990-91.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve player in their sport.

Kiewiet was a force on and off the court, maintaining a 4.0 cumulative GPA while leading the Maroon and White in scoring (16.3 ppg). The Mankato, Minn. native has started all 27 games she appeared, tallying double-digit points in 25 contests. 

This season, the junior guard has collected five double-doubles and 439 points (ninth on Lafayette's single-season scoring list). Kiewiet wrapped up the regular season ranked third in the Patriot League in scoring, 10th in rebounding, fourth in field-goal percentage (42.9%) and third in minutes played (33.8).

Kiewiet and the Leopards face off against Army on Monday at 6 p.m. with a spot in the semifinal up for grabs.
