Leopards Conclude Season with Two-Goal Loss to Lehigh

Heaney, Pasko and Foley combine for seven goals

EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette wrapped up the 2026 season on Friday night, dropping a 14-12 final on senior day at Fisher Stadium.

Joshua Heaney paved the way for the Leopards' offense, collecting his third hat trick. Cooper Pasko and Charlie Foley each added a pair of goals. The trio combined for seven of Lafayette's 12 goals, while Nicholas Blalock finished the game with four points (1 G, 3 A).

The Maroon and White struck first at 13:38, with Foley firing a pass from Clifford Chapman for an early 1-0 lead. Lafayette's advantage didn't last long as Peter Debusschere and the Mountain Hawks knotted the contest with a score at the 12:40 mark. Debusschere jumpstarted a four-goal run for the visitors, capped off at 4:04 by Luke Winkler (4-1). Pasko responded with nine seconds left, notching his first goal of the game to pull within two (4-2) as the first quarter came to a close.

Lafayette used a dominant second quarter to retake a lead heading into the break. Following Pasko's goal, the Leopards strung together their own stretch of four-consecutive scores. Heaney notched two goals in the spurt, with Pasko and Erik Volfson joining in for a 6-4 advantage. Lehigh's Finn Morgan broke the rally at 4:12, pulling the visitors within (6-5). Benjamin DiBattista and Nicholas Blalock each added a goal for an 8-5 lead at halftime.

Lafayette outshot Lehigh 18-5 in the period and collected eight ground balls in the process.

The third stanza opened with little action. With 9:35 on the clock, Nick Muller collected his 19th goal of his career for a 9-5 Leopard advantage. The visitors settled in after, holding Lafayette scoreless for the remainder of the period.

Offensively, Lehigh countered with five-straight goals. Morgan finished the run with a pair of goals at 2:14 and 1:55. His first tied the game at 9-9 before his second granted the Mountain Hawks a 10-9 lead with 15 minutes remaining.

Foley kicked offf quarter four with a bang, knotting the game at 10 less than a minute into the period. Luke Breslin and Andrew Kelly found the back of the net shortly after for the Mountain Hawks to control the contest once again (12-10). Heaney pulled the Maroon and White within one at 4:47, but Morgan scored 40 seconds later to push the score to 13-11. Nick Faccone won the faceoff immediately after the visitors' goal and rushed all the way into Lehigh's defense to fire a shot for the score (13-12). A final goal from Debusschere with 1:16 left finalized the 14-12 score.

Morgan ended the evening as the event's leading scorer, collecting four goals. Debusschere and Kelly followed suit, tallying hat tricks.

Joe Doherty was tabbed with the loss, allowing 14 goals while stopping 11 shots. Lehigh's Kasey Heath saved 19 shots (.613 save percentage) en route to the win.
