OLD BETHPAGE, N.Y. - St. John's has canceled day two of the Doc Gimmler Invitational, citing heavy rain and standing water on the 7,092-yard, par-70 Bethpage State Park Red Course. All results from the first day will stand as final.

Lafayette tied with Columbia for eighth in the 14-team field. The Leopards (+15) shot 575 and ended just seven strokes out of the top five. Junior Reed Theiss ended as the top finisher for the Maroon and White.

Theiss turned in an even-par 140 over 36 holes, tying for 11th. Chris Vahey (+1) landed in a tie for 15th after he carded rounds of 71 and 70. Winston Kelenc-Blank (t-45) shot a six-over-par 146 in his first invitational of the fall. Sophomore Liam Brandt shot 148, placing him in 55th. Viktor Kofod-Olsen ended the event in 73rd after shooting +11 over two rounds.

Kapil Ramachandran represented Lafayette as an individual in his first collegiate start for Lafayette. The rookie shot 75 in the first round and 76 in round two for an 11-over-par 151. Ramachandran rested in 73rd alongside Kofod-Olsen.

Yale garnered team laurels with a 13-under-par 547, besting second-place finisher St. John's by 10 strokes. Yale's Theo Snyder shot seven-under-par to claim medalist honors.

The Leopards return to action on Sept. 19-20 at the Navy Invitational.
