Biography

2020: Selected as a team captain...played in seven games, splitting her time between catcher and designated hitter, in a season cut short by COVID-19...knocked in three runs on three hits, including a walk-off home run to lift the Leopards to a 10-9 win over Kent State in the opening round of the Duke Invitational (3/6)...hit for a .150 average in 20 at-bats...was one of only two Leopards who had a three-hit game and a three-RBI game this year.

2019: Played in 35 games, splitting her time between catcher and designated hitter...had a hit in 18 out of 93 at bats for an average of .194...recorded the most multiple-RBI games on the team, hitting two RBI in three games...had a seven game hitting streak...hit a home run to put her team up 2-0 in the second inning against Penn (3/13).

2018: Played in 42 games with 35 starts at catcher and designated hitter...hit for a .232 average with three doubles and 12 RBI...primarily batted in the bottom half of the lineup...hit for a .406 average with runners in scoring position and was 3-of-4 as a pinch hitter...registered three multiple-hit games and drive in runs in eight games...threw out six baserunners on the year...knocked in three runs on two hits vs. Siena (3/16)...one of 13 Lafayette softball student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2017: Played in 25 games with 15 starts split between catcher and designated hitter...did not commit an error in 24 chances...hit for a .182 average with a home run and five RBI, batting in the 6, 7 and 8 holes in the lineup...was good for a .429 average with runners in scoring position...first collegiate hit came in her first at bat as a rookie in the season opener vs. Morgan State (3/4)...drove in a run in the second game of a doubleheader against Army (4/8)...belted a grand slam in the first inning against Drexel (4/25), propelling Lafayette to a 7-4 win.

High School: All-State 5A honoree in 2015 and honorable mention in 2014 who has hit for a .494 career average...All-Front Range League honoree in 2014 and 2015...team won more than 90 games from 2012-15, including a 22-2 record in 2014 when team finished as the runner-up in the 5A playoffs...team finished in the top three in the state from 2013-15...National Honor Society member and honor roll student...participated in Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Spanish National Honor Society...All-Academic First-Team selection in 2014 and 2015, garnering an academic letter from 2013-15.

Personal: Daughter of Mark and Patressa Pojar...has a younger sister, Lindi...plans to major in Biology...born on March 12, 1998.
